Although I am not a pilot I got many pilot friends. I got to know some interesting information about flying and how safe it is. As travel season has started some people might get scared from flying. These are just some information that will show you how safe flying is.

They say that flying is really safe that there is a bigger chance you get in an accident going to the airport . The flight industry uses the latest technology for safety.  Here are some statistics:

As you can see that the number of kilometers , flying is the safest. As for per journey, the stats are high because the amount of journeys for each passenger is low.

Imagine all these flights every day and no accidents. The problem is when the media talks about every air accident. We know for a fact there are more car accidents in Kuwait yet we do not hear about every single one. However when there is a plane crash every TV channels talks about it and it creates fear.

This post came after talking to a friend who is afraid to fly and has trouble when he travels.
