Curiosity Killed Us

Here they come again, the west conquering another planet with a state of the art rover that reached Mars and sent out the above images. The two images is form Rovers first communications with Nasa showing the horizon and it’s own shadow.
While we think about where to add Nutella and eat it. While people still fight about the past. While our concerns are about if the perfume makes you break your fast or not. They keep reaching places we don’t even dream of. We used to say they have walked on the moon. Now, they reached Mars while we didn’t reach even the south pole.
We keep attacking the west and people think they are the source of all sins in the world. Yet they forget the good things and the huge development. We use their technologies, their cars, their science and everything they develop. We are the first to buy their products with stupid prices claiming “we can afford it”.
We try to report spam Twitter accounts because they “do not agree with us”. They try to stop churches being built and make a fuss when the west doesn’t want to build a mosque. We are scared of losing our traditions more than developing for the future.
The above video is from Al-Shugairy’s show “khawater”. In this video he visits Google and talks about how they started and what they have created now. Even their work environment is different. Notice how Al-Shugairy tries his best to give us something else and to learn from others. he knows we have a problem and he tries to fix it. However, who listens?
The Arabs had their time when they were great in many things like astronomy, math and surgery. I wish I knew what happened since then. What caused us to shift our mindset and stop developing.
Our mentality got to change, by change it does not mean to fear losing our faith. Faith has nothing to do in development and being up to date. We should learn from the west and not just buy their products. We don’t even have a company that can compete with any western top 100.

Our dependence to the USA is appalling, especially when one realizes that their government has started countless wars, killed Muslim brothers and sisters in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Palestine (collateral damage… For the greater good), killed millions of civilians in Hiroshima and the like, and even killed their own citizens in the September 11th attacks just so they could start a war that the UN did not sanction.
Feel free to report my comment as spam if it “does not agree” with you.
P.S. the moon landings are a hoax. People cannot survive going past the protective magnetic field surrounding the earth.

So are you telling me we don’t kill too? didn’t you see what happened around the arab world recently? Should I provide you with news clips? and again you proved my point. We only care about the negatives and not the positives. Yet I bet you are using an american laptop or mobile phone, yes?
As long as you do not pass your limits and be rude, I will never report your comment as spam. I believe in different opinions.
PS: look up conspiracy theories…..

August 06th, 2012 at 01:25Thank you for acknowledging my different views. That’s a breath of fresh air. I expected a nasty rebuttal to tell the truth. It’s true that Arabs themselves fight amongst themselves and we see these horrible stories all the time (Egypt, Libya, Syria, Iraqi Invasion). My point is not to put the American government (notice the word government) on a pedestal and give them the gold standard for civilization.

If I was nasty I would be a hypocrite
Every governments have good and bad sides. You are thinking about war and killing I am thinking about the support they give for development. Of course other than the government people there created great ideas such as Twitter, instagram, the iphone and the list goes on. Also by west I do not mean just the USA but anywhere from Europe and beyond.
Once the money goes into American accounts it’s American regardless where it was made.

August 06th, 2012 at 08:00I woke up at 8 AM just to watch this and I’m glad that someone from my country like you thinks the same way I do.
No matter how much Arabs try to portray USA and the west as criminals and bad guys who are less than them they will never be able to bend the truth or change the reality that they are ahead of us.
No matter how much and no matter what they preach, say, or do, at the end of the day only those who work hard get ahead while those who blabber stay at the bottom.
Until they let go of bigotry and learn to live and let live when it comes to faith and personal freedom and until they invest their time and money in science and development they will never be anything more than consumers and spectators with big mouths and empty lives.
“The day we stop exploring is the day we commit ourselves to live in a stagnant world, devoid of curiosity, empty of dreams.” – Neil DeGrasse Tyson, American Astrophysicist, 2 days before Curiosity’s landing on Mars
By the way you can follow Curiosity Rover on Twitter: http://twitter.com/MarsCuriosity
It tweets about itself like a robot.
Thank you for shedding light on this matter while the others are busy writing about things that don’t matter. Your intellectuality is respected and appreciated.

August 11th, 2012 at 05:26They are ahead of us, but that doesn’t change the fact that their government has conducted atrocious acts against humanity. You can claim that I’m only looking at the negatives, but it is you who among many are exclusively looking at the positives. Case in point Sept-11. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mEGgAk1AbA4

August 14th, 2012 at 01:01It cost them to $2 billion to get that rover on to Mars, while at the same time it cost Kuwait $2 billion dollars to pay a penalty fee after parliament broke down the Dow Chemicals deal. Such a huge difference between us and them. You’d think people who follow the greatest religion ever, Islam, would be the leaders in everything today. Sadly, that’s not the case, nor do I think it will ever be the case.
