Ramadan is just around the corner and Baking Tray are offering some Ramadan special dishes. We got to try the dishes yesterday and here are our thoughts.
Started with the lentil soup. This was the best dish, we just loved it. A Kuwaiti style lentil soup with noodles, tomato, onions and a drizzle of olive oil. Perfect.
This is the first time for both of us try out dry yereesh. Our tables in Ramadan usually come with the wet yereesh. However, this one is just as good. If you like yereesh you will love this.
To be honest here, His did not try it because he does not eat meat. As for Her, the meat ruined it for her. It was lamb tashreeb and the lamb ruined the overall taste. The tashreeb itself was good though.
Then there is the legeamat, these were amazing with that saffron on top. It needed to be a little hotter but it’s great.
We think there was one little thing missing out of this and this is the Ramadan drink. We are not sure if they will have any special Ramadan drinks. You know like the Vimto or Qamar Al-deen.
We think Baking Tray would be perfect for Suhoor.
