I didn’t want to talk about ads, however knowing that 2 ads had the same theme is always something that should be mentioned. When I saw Al-roudhan ad, I had this “Déjà vu” feeling. It’s like I saw it before. I ignored it until last night I saw the Henry Vs Giggs ad done by Reebok. Which bring me to the question, is this plagiarism or just honest copying?

I don’t know if Figo knew about that ad and went with it, I don’t know how they got the idea. However the resemblance between the two ads are so close it might be the same ad different players.

Do we lack in pure creativity? do we have to go search the internet to see what creates a great ad and copy it but with Kuwaiti people instead? is this how marketing should be?

Plagiarism is a word not defined in our dictionaries. From school to professional companies, plagiarism can be seen and by luck can be identified. We saw it with blogs, we saw it with smal businesses and we saw it in ads. I really doubt this will ever change.
