Til Death .. Bring Us Together
07th February 2012 by HisSometimes a sad moment in your life is the moment where you get to know who your true friends are. Death is one of those moments where you find out that people still care.
At the burial and funeral, friends from work, school, the gahwa and blogs visited me to pay their condolences. People I have not seen in ages and didn’t hear from them for a while. People I don’t mix with even.
It’s like this moment of sadness, your close friends try their best to make you happy one way or another. Seeing old friends made me feel better knowing that there are still good people.
Another thing I was happy about is when people prayed for the ones who passed away. It didn’t matter what your sect was, people stood there next to each other praying for them. It’s like unity was made through death.
It brings up memories of the invasion. Where the Kuwaitis were hand in hand defending this land. They didn’t care which trube you belonged too, they didn’t care about your sect. The main issue was to bring this land to the Kuwaitis.
With all the issues going on around Kuwait right now, an the disappointing parliament. People voted for tribes and sects, which shows that we are divided. I wish that the MPs really understand that there is no difference between Kuwaitis. See what you believe in and your tribe should not be part of the division in Kuwait.
Our problems are the ones who are in the front and always in the media that make these divisions occur. We don’t have to wait for a catastrophe to bring the people together. It’s about time to get this old thinking out and bring in something for the country.
At the end, thank you for everyone who paid condolences in any way.
